About BenchSift
BenchSift is an independent project that brings scattered AI model data into an interface that is easier to browse, in both English and French.
What BenchSift is
BenchSift brings together benchmark scores, performance measurements, pricing, capabilities, usage trends, and model links. Its purpose is to make an initial comparison easier without requiring you to cross-reference several websites and tables.
Why another interface
BenchSift does not try to invent a new index. It organizes existing data to answer a practical question more quickly: which models are worth examining for my use case?
A simpler first read
Normal mode prioritizes rankings and essential information without forcing every score into view.
The detail remains available
Advanced mode keeps benchmarks, pricing, speed, and capabilities for people who want to investigate further.
Several sources, one profile
Complementary information is brought together without hiding where it came from.
Missing data stays visible
When a value does not exist, BenchSift would rather say so than manufacture an estimate.
Where the data comes from
BenchSift aggregates and presents data produced or published by other services. It does not claim to have run the benchmarks it displays.
Artificial Analysis
An essential source for indices, benchmarks, and many performance measurements. BenchSift reorganizes this data without claiming it as its own.
OpenRouter
Complements model profiles with available information such as pricing, context, modalities, and usage trends.
Models.dev
Additional specifications and models missing from other sources, without replacing Artificial Analysis benchmarks.
Hugging Face
Helps connect open-weight models to their official repositories and surface useful information about their availability.
Why BenchSift does not run its own benchmarks
I build BenchSift as an independent project. Serious benchmarking carries API, compute, storage, and maintenance costs that I cannot fund today.
Open-weight models also require owning or renting suitable hardware — especially GPUs with enough memory — sometimes at a very large scale. I do not have that infrastructure.
An alternative, not a competitor
BenchSift does not position itself as a competitor to Artificial Analysis. I admire their work and their website; I simply wanted to offer a more streamlined entry point for a different level of reading.
Without the work of Artificial Analysis, BenchSift could not have existed in this form. For detailed methodology and data at its source, their website remains the reference to consult.
